Burnouts

The Rockynats Burnout Competition will run with two classes, Pro and Open. Secure your competition time slot to compete for prize money, trophies and your chance to win a Summernats Pro Burnout Series Ticket.

Any vehicle that wishes to take part in the burnout competition must comply with the Event Regulations.

All burnout entrants will get two burnouts, minimum!

All entrants competing in burnouts are required to wear a fire suit meeting SFI standard 3.2A/5 as a minimum and a helmet meeting AS/NZS 1698:2006 as a minimum, this includes passengers. 

All drivers and passengers will be subject to random breath testing.

HOW OLD MUST I BE TO BE A PASSENGER IN A BURNOUT VEHICLE?

18 years or older. 

WHAT KIND OF PPE DO ME AND MY PASSENGER NEED FOR BURNOUTS?

  1. Fire suit meeting or exceeding SFI 3.2A/5 or FIA 8856-2000 as a minimum.
  2. Closed toe shoes.
  3. Helmet meeting AS/NZS 1698:2006 or AS/ NZS 1698 at a minimum.
  4. The use of flame-retardant balaclava, socks, gloves, and shoes is highly recommended.

CAN I HIRE A FIRE SUIT?

No, you will need to supply your own fire suit. 

ARE KIDS/YOUTHS ALLOWED IN THE PADDOCKS?

Yes, they are. However, all children must be supervised by an adult at all times.

WHERE ARE THE PADDOCKS/WHERE DO I LEAVE MY TRAILER FOR BURNOUTS?

Please refer to the event maps that will be released closer to the event and show trailer parking locations. 

WILL BURNOUTS SELL OUT?

Yes, enter early to get a spot.
