What is Rockynats?

Australia’s newest national motoring festival, a showcase of horsepower, speed, driving skills and engineering excellence. Rare Spares Rockynats features burnouts, show and shine, bike show, street parade, grass driving, cruising, 4x4 display, street drags, dyno and more! www.rockynats.com.au

Rockhampton Regional Council and Advance Rockhampton runs the event in partnership with Summernats. 



When is the event?

Friday 4th to Sunday 6th April 2025 during the Easter School Holidays (not the Easter long weekend).

 

Where is the event held?

Rockhampton CBD, Rockhampton Showgrounds and Northside Boat Ramp Precinct (Burnouts). 

Can I collect my wristband before the event?

Absolutely! Beat the queues on event day, with pre scanning ticket collection available during scrutineering. Stay tuned to your emails for more info as we get closer to the event. 

How can I enter my car/bike?

Rare Spares Rockynats 05 entries open 23 July 2024. Don't hesitate - we will sell out. Follow this link for more information. 

Where can I buy tickets from?

How can I become an event volunteer or a motorsport official?

Will there be merchandise at this event?

Merchandise will also be available at the event in the Burnouts, Showgrounds and CBD Precincts until sold out.

Are kids free?

General Admission: Children under 13 years are free to access Rockynats with a purchase of any General Admission Ticket (any general admission ticket type when purchasing adult, concession or family tickets). You will be asked upon check-out if you have any children attending with your adult or family ticket purchase.

Platinum: Children 3 years and under are free to access VIP areas. All other ages must have a valid Platinum ticket to access.

Can I camp at the event?

Located at the Rockhampton Brothers Cricket Club in the heart of Victoria Park (cricket side), directly opposite the Rockhampton Showgrounds and a 1.7km walk to the Rockynats Drifting precinct, Tent City is available for spectators and entrants, providing a great inner city accommodation option.

If you wish to have your site next to a friend or another booking, please ensure that you arrive and check into camping together, sites will be allocated based on your arrival. No guarantee can be made for site allocations. Any questions regarding your camping booking please contact rockynats@rrc.qld.gov.au.

 

Is there an event app?

Plan your weekend with the Rockhampton Events app! The app allows you to see the full program of events and mark your favourites so you will get notifications straight to your pocket when events are about to start.

To download, go to the app store and download “Rockhampton Events” or click here. Tap on Current Events and select Rockynats.

Will there be shuttle buses?

Yes, we will have shuttle buses again in 2025! Event shuttle buses will be in operation to transport patrons on Friday 6th,  Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th.  

Patrons must present their Rockynats wristband for access to this free service. 

TIP! Look out for the giant wavey inflatable man at each Shuttle Stop or check the maps in the Rockhampton Events app.

Is there a taxi service?

Temporary taxi ranks have been created at each event precinct near the Shuttle Bus stops for pick up and drop off.

 

 

When can I travel on the Water Taxi?

A free water taxi for VIPs, Entrants, Buddy’s and Platinum ticket holders will operate between the SWL Racing 4x4 Display and the Buddy’s Fire Burnout Precinct.

 

Can I ride a Neuron Scooter?

The bright orange Neuron Australia E-Scooters will make travel between Rockynats Precincts a breeze! Download the app ready for Rockynats!   

Neuron scooters are not permitted within the event footprints and have been geo-mapped out for safety reasons!  

I'm a spectator, where can I park my car?

Buddy’s Fire Burnout Precinct | $5 donation parking at Rockhampton Cricket Grounds (on Goodsall St access via Lakes Creek Rd). Limited priority parking for VIPs, Entrants and Platinum ticket holders. 

Showgrounds Precinct | Free on-street parking

CBD Precinct | Free on-street parking

Illegal parking, or parking causing an impediment for a local resident to access their home or business will be monitored and will result in a fine or the vehicle being towed (at owners expense).

What are the accessible parking options?

There are a number of accessible parking spots available at all precincts. Patrons must clearly display a current Government issued Disability Parking Permit to access these parking spots. Accessible parks will be monitored and enforced by Council’s Local Laws Department.

  • CBD Precinct (Near Ticketing Gate 2/Drags) - Cnr William & Alma Sts - Sat & Sun 
  • CBD behind RRC City Hall
