Cruising
During Rockynats you can expect to see the streets of Rockhampton filled with cars and bikes of every shape, era and torque.
The Rockynats Cruising Route, thanks to Flexihire and located in the CBD Precinct, comes alive with roaring engines, immaculate paintwork and impressive vintage remodelling.
This zone is the Show n’ Shine overflow, but these cars aren’t just on display! All entrants, with both registered and unregistered cars, will have the chance to cruise within the CBD precinct on a dedicated route.
For some of these old beautiful vehicles, this is one of their only opportunities to roll through the Rockhampton CBD. Take the time to stroll through the parked cars and bikes and chat to their owners, they may even offer to take you for a ride.
When you aren’t admiring the vehicles or cruising the streets, you can enjoy food, live music, cafes and entertainment in this lively part of Rockynats.
Where and when can I see the Cruise route?
This zone will be open Saturday and Sunday, which makes it a perfect spot to grab a bite, have a rest, or spend a few hours in between other events and entertainment. The Flexihire Cruise Route is conveniently located in the CBD on East Street and Bolsover Street, connected by Denham, William and Derby Street. With an assortment of local cafes and Rockynats food trucks in this area, you can take a moment to refuel your own tank while admiring the vehicles cruising by.
